Planning your journey

Share what moves you. We’ll listen, ask thoughtful questions, and begin crafting a journey that feels entirely yours.

Every journey we design is fully private and built entirely around you — your pace, your interests, your travel style. We don’t operate group safaris. That means your vehicle, your guide, and your itinerary are yours alone, crafted from scratch based on what you want to see and experience. No compromises, no strangers, no fixed schedules.

Year-round. We time routes to wildlife patterns, natural light, and crowd levels. Reach out—we’ll guide you to the right season for your vision.

Safari logistics in Kenya and Tanzania require licensed guides, pre-arranged park permits, coordinated transfers between remote locations, and relationships with lodges inside national parks. While beach hotels can be booked independently, safari requires specialized knowledge — from navigating park regulations to ensuring your guide is trained in wildlife behavior and safety. We handle the complexity so you can focus on the experience.

For peak season travel (July–October in Kenya/Tanzania), we recommend booking 4–6 months ahead to secure preferred accommodations and guides. For other times of year, 2–3 months is typically sufficient. That said, we’ve helped travelers plan meaningful journeys on shorter timelines when availability allows.

Yes. Many destinations (Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, Diani Beach) are excellent for families. We tailor game drive lengths, choose family-friendly accommodations, and adjust pacing for younger travelers. Most parks have minimum age requirements for certain activities (walking safaris, gorilla trekking), which we’ll clarify when designing your itinerary.

8–12 days for safari and coast. Longer for deeper routes or trekking. We’ll help you find the right rhythm.

Absolutely. We guide you through every step, building confidence and ensuring you feel safe, supported, and inspired.

Pricing & booking

Every journey includes private transportation with a professional guide, all park entrance fees, accommodations (vetted and price-matched where eligible), meals as specified in your itinerary, airport transfers, and 24/7 support during your trip. We handle permits, logistics, and coordination between destinations. International flights, visas, travel insurance, and personal expenses are separate.

Key factors include: travel season (high season is pricier but has migration), accommodation style (tented camps vs. lodges), number of destinations (more parks = more park fees), group size (private safaris split vehicle costs), and activity add-ons (hot air balloons, walking safaris, cultural visits). We work within your budget to create the best experience possible.

Yes. We typically require a deposit (usually 30-50%) to secure bookings, with the balance due 60 days before departure. For longer itineraries or early bookings, we can discuss custom payment schedules. All payment terms are clearly outlined in your travel agreement.

We understand plans evolve. Minor changes (swapping accommodations of similar standard, adjusting activity timing) are usually possible. Major changes (adding destinations, extending duration) depend on availability and may affect pricing. Cancellation policies vary by property — we’ll explain everything clearly before you commit.

No. Every journey is tailored to your pace, budget, and interests. We craft experiences, not packages.

About Nomari

Personally vetted experiences. Local relationships. East African roots, Scandinavian clarity. No crowds, no rushing, just connection.

It means you’re working directly with someone who was born in Kenya, has personal relationships with guides and lodge owners, and designs every itinerary with care, not a sales team working from scripts. You’ll communicate with me (or a small core team) from first inquiry through your return home. This isn’t a large-scale operation,  it’s personal, intentional, and built on trust.

Low-impact travel. Community-led partnerships. Every journey supports local economies and respects nature. Not a buzzword—a foundation.

We personally vet every guide, lodge, and activity provider. This means visiting properties, meeting teams, reviewing their conservation and community practices, and ensuring they align with our values. We don’t work with anyone who pressures wildlife, exploits communities, or prioritizes profit over principles. If we wouldn’t send our own families, we won’t send you.

Yes. Swedish language support throughout planning and travel, backed by EU consumer protections and Swedish travel guarantees.

Safety & Support

We provide 24/7 support throughout your journey. Your guide is your first point of contact for immediate issues. Behind the scenes, our ground operations team monitors all bookings and can reroute, rebook, or solve problems quickly. We’ve built relationships specifically so we can act fast when needed. Travel insurance provides additional protection for major disruptions.
